College of Subic Montessori – Subic Bay is a private school located in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (Bldg. 737 Labitan St), offering education from Casa Dei Bambini (preschool) through College. The curriculum at each level is anchored in Montessori principles and DepEd standards, emphasizing hands-on learning, independence, and holistic development.

Casa Dei Bambini (Pre-School & Special Education)

Our preschool follows the Montessori approach, providing a child-centered, play-based environment where children build confidence and curiosity.

Our Approach:

  • Child-centered Montessori approach

  • Hands-on, play-based learning

Our programs include:

  • Toddlers (2–3 years old) – Early exploration and learning

  • Junior CASA (3–4 years old) – Basic skills development

  • Senior CASA (4 years old) – Hands-on learning and social interaction

  • Advanced CASA (must be 5 years old as of August 31) – Challenging activities

  • Diverse Learners (SNED) – Specialized program for unique learning needs

The Junior High School curriculum at CSM builds on the foundations laid in elementary school through an inquiry-based approach. Students engage with more advanced concepts in mathematics, science, and the humanities by participating in collaborative projects, hands-on experiments, and research assignments.

The program also includes technology and life skills education, promoting digital literacy, critical thinking, and practical application. Co-curricular clubs such as the science club, math club, and campus journalism, along with student leadership initiatives, help develop teamwork, problem-solving skills, and civic responsibility.

By Grade 10, students have developed strong study habits, academic readiness, and values formation, equipping them for the focused and specialized learning of Senior High School.

By Grade 10, students are equipped with strong study habits, foundational academic competencies, and core values, preparing them to thrive in specialized Senior High School tracks.

CSM offers four Senior High School tracks in accordance with DepEd guidelines:

  • Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM)

  • Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS)

  • General Academic Strand (GAS)

  • Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL)

Note: The STEM strand is not offered at the Subic Bay campus.

Each strand features a tailored curriculum. For example, ABM focuses on finance and entrepreneurship, while HUMSS emphasizes history, psychology, and the arts. Across all strands, students take career-oriented and college-preparatory subjects such as Practical Research, Speech, and Entrepreneurship.

A standout component is the Practical Research course, which reflects CSM’s commitment to inquiry-based learning. It helps develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on quantitative research.

Senior High School students, particularly under the TVL track, also participate in immersion or on-the-job training, equipping them for immediate employment or further studies.

Co‑Curricular Activities

Students at CSM Subic Bay enjoy a vibrant extracurricular life. Academic clubs and arts groups allow learners to pursue special interests and talents.

The school fields sports teams in basketball, volleyball, and athletics; students participate in intramurals and regional inter-school meets to promote teamwork and sportsmanship. Community engagement is integral: various clubs organize outreach projects (such as literacy campaigns, environmental clean-ups, or feeding programs) to instill social responsibility.

School-wide events like science fairs, art exhibits, and cultural presentations further enrich learning beyond the classroom.

Educational Philosophy & Learning Outcomes

Guided by Montessori principles and our motto “Man Makes Himself,” CSM fosters self-directed, joyful learning at all levels. We believe students learn best by doing, so classrooms are “prepared environments” where each child can explore concepts at their own pace.

Educators act as facilitators, encouraging curiosity, self-discipline, and respect. As a result, graduates of CSM are expected to be independent thinkers and lifelong learners – able to set goals, work cooperatively, and adapt to challenges.

They also develop strong moral character and empathy through values education and community service. In short, our holistic approach aims for well-rounded outcomes: academic proficiency and personal growth, aligning with the school’s mission of shaping confident, capable individuals.
